Inform the Development of the 2023-2026 National Health Security Strategy!

Comments Due March 11, 2022 at 5PM

The 2023-2026 National Health Security Strategy (NHSS) presents a unique opportunity to reflect on lessons being learned in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and focus the Nation’s priorities to address evolving public health challenges and be better prepared for future health security threats. ASPR is currently seeking comments regarding national health security threats, challenges, and promising practices.

We encourage stakeholders in public health, healthcare, emergency management, national security, non-governmental organizations, academia, and private industry to provide comments. ASPR invites your respose to the following questions:

  • What are the most critical national health security threats and public health and medical preparedness, response, and recovery challenges that warrant increased attention over the next five years?
  • What medium-term and long-term (i.e., over next five years) actions should be taken to mitigate these challenges at the federal government and/or state, local, tribal, and territorial level?
  • What public health and medical preparedness, response, and recovery opportunities or promising practices should be capitalized on over the next five years?

Please note that you are not limited to these questions above and we welcome additional feedback.

Providing comments will help ensure that diverse stakeholder perspectives are used to drive innovative solutions to the challenge in public health and medical preparedness, response, and recovery faced across the United States.
