In response to the mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) outbreak, the Biden-Harris Administration has developed a strategy to make vaccines, testing, and treatments available to those who need them as part of its whole-of-government mpox outbreak response.

Within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response is making mpox vaccines available to our public health partners in states and major metro areas for distribution.

ASPR, through the Strategic National Stockpile, is focused on rapidly deploying the JYNNEOS mpox vaccine to the most affected communities and mitigate the spread of the disease while maintaining a focus on fair and equitable distribution of the product.
