Joint Inaugural Meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Seniors and Disasters (NACSD) and the National Advisory Committee on Individuals with Disabilities and Disasters (NACIDD)

The NACSD and the NACIDD will conduct an inaugural virtual joint public meeting on March 30, 2022. The new advisory committees’ members will be sworn in along with the presentation and discussion of challenges, opportunities, and priorities for national public health and medical preparedness, response and recovery, specific to the needs of older adults and people with disabilities in disasters.

Register to Address the NACSD and NACIDD

The NACSD and NACIDD are inviting key stakeholder groups to address the committees and share their ideas on issues related to meeting the unique health needs of people with disabilities and/or seniors during and after disasters and emergencies. We are especially interested in hearing comments from representatives of relevant industries, academia, health professions, health care consumer organizations, advocacy organizations, or state, Tribal, territorial, or local governments.

The NACSD and NACIDD invite those who are interested to request up to 3 minutes to address the board in person via Zoom.

  • Key Stakeholder Groups: Individuals who are involved in or represent a relevant industry, academic institution, health profession, health care consumer organization, or state, tribal, territorial, or local government.

  • Time Limit: To ensure that the NACSD and NACIDD have the opportunity to hear multiple perspectives from our stakeholders, we are limiting comments to 3 minutes per speaker or group.

  • How to Apply: Please send your request to present before the committees to both NACSD@hhs.gov and NACIDD@hhs.gov and include the name of the speaker, organization, and a full explanation of the intended comments. If accepted, ASPR staff will contact you with additional instructions.

Email NACIDD and NACSD

Stakeholders can also submit questions or comments to NACSD or NACIDD ahead of the meeting by sending an email to NACSD@hhs.gov and NACIDD@hhs.gov, which board members will consider during the meeting as time allows.
