HPH Sector Critical Infrastructure Protection Partnership is the coordination and governance structure established under the Critical Infrastructure Partnership Advisory Council (CIPAC) framework and managed by the Division of Critical Infrastructure Protection, which serves as the HPH Sector Risk Management Agency per the National Defense Authorization Act. Under CIP’s coordination, the Partnership organizes and executes activities serving the HPH Sector through HPH Sector Coordinating Councils. In accordance with the National Infrastructure Protection Plan and the HPH Sector Specific Plan, the HPH Sector Coordinating Councils consist of the individual and organizational members of the Sector Coordinating Council representing private sector partners and Government Coordinating Council representing Federal, state, local, tribal and territorial partners.
The Councils build a network of partners and integral relationships that promote situational awareness, coordination, and preparedness and response capabilities that establish a shared context and understanding of critical infrastructure risks, needs, and opportunities for innovation in healthcare and the public health system. This collaborative structure for public-private engagement bolsters the Partnership’s mission-critical role in all-hazards preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation for a range of events, such as infectious disease outbreaks, cybersecurity attacks, and natural disasters.
