All requests will be subject to a two-step review process:
-
Administrative review: this review is to ensure that the form was filled out correctly and any required attachments were provided. This review is conducted within one business day of receipt of the request.
-
Technical review: the relevant HHS agency/agencies will assess programmatic impact and result in a temporary reassignment decision. HHS agencies will submit the results of the technical review to ASPR.
ASPR will email the requestor regarding the outcome of the request. The 30 day reassignment period begins on the date ASPR informs the requestor of approval. Should the request be denied, the state or tribe may address all concerns provided with the denial and resubmit the request for further consideration.
Reassignment shall be terminated 30 days after the request is approved or at the end of the declared federal public health emergency, whichever comes first.
